Use the following instructions to disable or uninstall the LINCCWeb toolbar.To disable the toolbar in Internet Explorer:
- Open Internet Explorer. On the Tools menu, click Manage Add-ons.
(Note: In some versions of IE, you may also need to click Enable or Disable Add-ons.)- Click on SearchAXIS in the list of programs.
- In the Settings box, click Disable.
- Click OK and follow the additional on-screen prompts.
To uninstall the toolbar in Internet Explorer:
- From the Start menu, go to Control Panel.
- Click Add/Remove Programs.
- Click on SearchAXIS in the list of programs.
- Click Remove and follow the additional on-screen prompts.
To disable or uninstall the toolbar in Firefox:
- Open Firefox. On the Tools menu, click Add-ons.
- Click on SearchAXIS in the list of programs.
- Click Disable to "hide" the toolbar, and then restart Firefox

The LINCCWeb toolbar is for students, faculty and staff at any of Florida's 28 community college, including students dually-enrolled at both a community college and university. You can download and use the toolbar through Internet Explorer or Firefox on any computer.Important: To search full-text resources (databases, journals, etc.) using the toolbar, you'll need the ID or PIN assigned by your college. If you don't know your ID or PIN, contact your college's library.
I'm using Internet Explorer. Why can't I see the toolbar after I've downloaded and installed it?
Do the following:
- Open Internet Explorer.
- On the Tools menu, point to Internet Options, and then click Advanced.
- Make sure that Enable third-party browser extensions is selected, and click OK.
- Next, from the browser menu, click View and then Toolbars. Make sure that SearchAXIS is selected.
- Restart the browser.
How do I enter my ID and PIN in the toolbar?
- From the first item in the toolbar (LINCCWeb), select the down arrow to view the menu
.- Click Enter Login information.
- Enter the ID and PIN assigned by your college. If you don't know your ID or PIN, contact your college's library.
- Click OK to save your information. You can now use the toolbar without having to log in again.
Note: You cannot log in to more than one toolbar session at the same time.
Protect your privacy: It is important to remember that the ID and PIN are yours and should not be entered and saved on publicly accessible computers.
