Borrowing Privileges

How do I become a registered borrower?

Each community college has its own methods of registering students, faculty, and staff as authorized library borrowers. Please contact your library staff to identify the procedures necessary to become a registered borrower.

What is my "borrower ID?"

Borrower identification systems are determined by each Florida community college library. Your borrower ID is either a
9-, 14-, or 16- digit number found on your student ID card or a separate library card. If the ID is a 14-digit number, it usually appears beneath a barcode and begins with the digit "2".

What is my "PIN"?

Your default PIN (Personal Identification Number) is initially assigned when your Borrower ID is added to the LINCC system and usually consists of the last 4 digits of your SSN or Borrower ID. Since PINs may vary by institution, please check with your local library. Once you have logged in to "My Account," you can change your PIN to any 4-digit number or leave it as-is. If you've just recently received your library account, your PIN may not have been created yet. If you have difficulty logging in, or if you've forgotten your PIN, ask your college's library staff for assistance.

LINCCWeb only uses PINs for functions that require heightened security in order to protect your personal information. Currently, PINs are only required when logging in to "My Account" and when requesting materials from your library through LINCCWeb.
